When the Iowa State Cyclones (2-5 overall, 0-4 Big 12) host the No. 19 Oklahoma Sooners (5-2 overall, 2-2 Big 12) on Nov. 1, fans will see two very similar quarterbacks on the field.

Both ISU quarterback Sam Richardsonand OU quarterback Trevor Knight play what ISU coach Paul Rhoads sees as a very similar type of football, and they both have the stat line to back it up.

“Their quarterback reminds me a lot of our own,” Rhoads said. “I think he’s throwing it with great velocity, and he’s a threat when he runs the ball; very comparable to our guy.”

Both Richardson and Knight also have a fairly similar stat line so far this year.
