The White House will launch the national “It’s On Us” sexual assault prevention campaign Sept. 19.

The goal of the campaign is to better equip college campuses with the knowledge and resources to prevent and handle sexual assault cases.

Hillary Kletscher, president of the Government of the Student Body, said she participated in a conference call with 800 other student government leaders across the country on Sept. 16.

The purpose of the campaign is to create a sense of responsibility for all students to prevent sexual assault and recognize situations during which they should intervene.

Each public university will have a localized campaign.
