Volleyball continues in-state dominance

Under head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch, the ISU volleyball team has amassed a 16-2 record against Iowa and Northern Iowa.

Against Iowa

The Cyclones swept the Hawkeyes Sept. 20, marking Iowa State’s 10th win in a row in the series.

Johnson-Lynch has a perfect 9-0 record against the Hawkeyes.

Iowa State leads Iowa 27-6 in sets won among those nine wins, which includes five sweeps of the Hawkeyes.

Against Northern Iowa

Iowa State travels to face Northern Iowa on Sept. 24 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

The Cyclones are 7-2 against the Panthers with Johnson-Lynch at the helm.

In those nine matches, Iowa State has won 22 sets to Northern Iowa’s 11. The Cyclones have swept the Panthers three times in that span.
