Saige Heyer

North Ames

North Ames includes a few restaurants, Wal-Mart, North Grand Mall, a gas station and the UPS Store. There are many apartment buildings here as well.

Somerset Village

Somerset Village is, as the name implies, a small village north of campus. Here you can find restaurants, eye doctors, a dentist, banks, a grocery store and a gas station along with a few little shops.

Campustown

Campustown consists of Welch Avenue and the surrounding area. Most of the things here are restaurants, bars, small shops and a bus terminal for those traveling out of town.

West Ames

West Ames is filled with apartment buildings, a strip mall, Ames Middle School and a few restaurants.

South Ames

South Ames consists of car dealerships, Lowe’s, the municipal airport and some restaurants.

East Ames

East Ames includes South Duff and the hotels and other things along Dayton Avenue and South 16th Street. Here you can find many restaurants, Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Staples and Movies 12.

Downtown

Downtown Ames mainly consists of Main Street and the surrounding area. There are many small shops, restaurants, banks and bars. Here you can also find City Hall, the post office and a grocery store.
