ISU gymnast Caitlin Brown’s season came to an end Friday when she finished 24th overall in the all-around competition at the NCAA Championships at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center in Birmingham, Ala.

Brown started the night in a bit of a hole when she earned a mark of 9.750 on the bars to get things going. She steadily improved over the next two events, beam then floor, scoring 9.800 and 9.850, respectively.

The comeback was for naught as Brown ended the night by scoring 9.675 on the vault and brought her total to 39.075.

Brown’s highest finish in a single event was a tie for 23rd on beam and floor. To qualify for Sunday’s individual event championships, Brown would have needed to place in the top four on any apparatus.

Alabama’s Kim Jacob took home the all-around title with a score of 39.625.
