After her 34th place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke on Friday at the NCAA swimming championships, senior Imelda Wistey finished 52nd in the 200-yard breaststroke.

In Wistey’s second NCAA Championship event, she recorded a time of 2:16.02. She missed the cut for the finals, which put an end to her career as a Cyclone.

During Wistey’s time at Iowa State, she broke records in the 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes. She also placed in the all-time top 10 in the 200 IM, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay for the Cyclones.

With Wistey’s representation at the NCAA Championships for the Cyclones coming to a close, Iowa State swimming and diving closes the book on another season.
