Taking inspiration from trends on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runways and incorporating it into everyday wear can be done with garments you may already own.

Major trends for fall 2014 range from leather to vampy makeup.

If you already own a leather or faux leather jacket, there is no need to buy something new. Style it with on-trend colors for fall 2014. You can also wear pieces that have leather accents or details to tie in the leather trend this fall.

Scarlet was a major color trend seen at Fashion Week, with several bold monochromatic looks. Recreate this trend by wearing red from head to toe.

Many designers, like Alexander Wang, featured boxy silhouettes in their collections this week. Shift dresses are perfect for recreating this trend.

A makeup trend seen on the runways was bold eyeshadows. Many shows, such as Nicole Miller’s, included some type of dark eyeshadow, whether it was a smoky eye using gray tones or a look using bolder colors. This is a super easy way to tie in fall 2014 runway trends into your makeup routine.

At Rebecca Minkoff’s show, the models wore a plum-colored lipstick. One can purchase an inexpensive drugstore version to recreate this trend seen on the runway models.
