Kemboi highlights ISU men’s track and field as ISU Classic wraps up

The Cyclone men wrapped up the second day of action with six athletes finishing the weekend with personal records, highlighted by Edward Kemboi. 

The meet was highlighted by the performances of three athletes getting first place in their respective events, including Kemboi who posted the fastest 800-meter time in the nation this year at 1:45.96 to win the event. 

Redshirt junior jumper Cameron Ostrowski followed up his fourth place finish last weekend with a top jump of 7 feet, 1/2 inch, giving him first place.

Another personal record was taken home by sophomore thrower Jan Jeuschede, who got first place in the shot put with a toss of 60-feet, 3-inches.

The Cyclones will be back in action next week with athletes competing at the USA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., UNI-Dome Classic in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
