ISU diver places 15th in first day of Georgia Invitational

After arriving in Athens, Ga. late on New Year’s Day, the ISU divers competed in the first event at the Georgia Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Senior Jessica Henderson placed 15th among 53 competitors in the 1-meter event with a 245.40 performance. Henderson has yet to place outside of the top-15 in an invitational-style event this season. 

Henderson missed the cut for the finals of the event by 12.15 points. 

Sophomore Elyse Brouillette finished the day with a score of 223.60, earning a 35th place finish in the 1-meter event.

The Cyclones will next compete in the 3-meter dive on Saturday.
