ISU swimming and diving ends 3-meet skid, defeats Northern Iowa

Iowa State earned its fourth victory of the season by defeating in-state rival Northern Iowa 191-103. All four wins have come against Summit League opponents.

The Cyclones grabbed their 20th consecutive victory over the Panthers, and added another win to their unbeaten road record (4-0-1).

Sophomore swimmer Maria Gannon earned her first collegiate victory by out touching the field in the 1000 – freestyle with a time of 10:46.65.

The diving team outscored their competition for the second straight week, defeating the Panthers 22-16.

Sophomore Elyse Brouillette tallied 18 of the 22 points for the diving team. Brouillette swept the 1-meter and 3-meter events with scores of 288.38 and 290.63, respectively.

The Cyclones will travel to Athens, Ohio for a double-dual meet against Ohio and West Virginia on February 1st.
