ISU swimming, diving remains undefeated on season, with win against Nebraska-Omaha

The ISU swimming and diving won against Nebraska-Omaha 123-63 to remain undefeated on the season. The Cyclones (3-0-1) won seven of the 10 events on the night.

The Cyclones also boosted their all-time record against Nebraska-Omaha to 12-0.

Iowa State got off to a rocky start with Nebraska-Omaha winning two of the first three events of the meet, before the Cyclones hit their stride and won six of the final seven events.

The Cyclones won both diving events with Jessica Henderson winning the 1-meter event and Elyse Brouillette winning the 3-meter event.

Amanda Paulson won the 50 free race for the 19th time in her career and freshman Karyl Clarete won the 200 individual medley by nearly four full seconds.

Imelda Wistey and Elizabeth Kleiner were also winners, touching first in the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly respectively.

The relay team of Clarete, Kleiner, Paulson and Alex Gustafson won the final event of the night, the 200-meter freestyle relay.

The Cyclones will face Texas Christian, their first conference opponent of the season, next Friday, Nov. 8, in Beyer Hall.
