DIY Button Ornaments

If your tree is lacking that personal touch this year, here is a fun, easy way to get that extra sparkle on a budget.

DIY Button Christmas Tree Ornaments

What you’ll need:

1) Green buttons (various sizes)

2) String

3) A keyring (optional)

This is really up to your own creativity. It is really important to get different sized buttons to make your tree have that conical shape. Consider larger buttons to make the base, with sizes getting gradually smaller as you reach the top of the tree. Once you have all of your buttons laid out in the desired pattern, start stringing your buttons through two of the button holes. Stack the buttons neatly onto the string, one on top of the other, starting with the bottom of the tree and ending with the top. Once you get to the top, tie a small knot to make sure the buttons stay in place. From there, you can either tie a loop at the top of your string or tie a keyring onto the top to place on your tree, or even use at a festive keychain!

Not only can you make trees, but santas, elves, and snowmen! The creative possibilities are endless, all at the cost of a few buttons. Enjoy!
