Hailing from the southlands of Chesapeake, Virginia, The Hunts are an indie folk family band that is made up of seven brothers and sisters named Jessi, Jenni, Joshua, Jonathan, Jordan, Justin and Jamison Hunt. All vocalists and multi-instrumentalists, The Hunts have been playing music for as long as they can remember, taking on their own musical personalities and talents, that when brought together create a fun and entertaining collection of music that has a classic folk feel and is yet refreshingly new.

The band has been touring the world for over 10 years now, performing at festivals, universities and concert venues, even going so far as to offer workshops before and after performances where they teach aspects of learning strings, fiddle, guitar, and songwriting. During the summers of 2012 and 2013, the seven Hunt siblings traveled to an orphanage on the island of Haiti and organized a two week music camp for over 100 Haitian children.

During November of 2012, The Hunts released their most recent album We Were Young, which features 10 original songs that each tell their own tale of youthful memories and journeys. The album’s first track, “Make This Leap” started receiving airplay from radio stations along the east coast almost immediately after it was released, solidifying their name as an up and coming indie folk powerhouse.
