Comedian and actor Adam Ray will be performing a live comedy show in 9 p.m. on Oct. 24 at the Maintenance Shop.

Ray studied at the University of Southern California acting school, his junior year of which he spent abroad in London at the British American Drama Academy.

Adam has done work as a paid regular in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Improv, Comedy Store and Laugh Factory comedy clubs. He has even played Wolverine for 7 years at Universal Studios.

His acting career has recently taken off as he has appeared on television shows: Two Broke Girls, Workaholics, Arrested Development, According to Jim and Adult Swim’s NTSF:SD:SUV. Adam has also done some writing for MTV’s Punk’d. His standup routine will be featured in Comedy Central’s upcoming show, “House Party.”

Ray’s online comedy series has been gaining momentum with over 30 million accumulated views, which can be seen on his website.

“It’s always weird trying to describe your act,” Ray said. “I can say that everything I’m talking about on stage is personal, fun and stuff I enjoy talking about. Whether it’s my nieces, or working at a theme park as Wolverine, my long-distance relationship, daily LA observations and my experiences with people from traveling all over the country, you’ll definitely feel like we’re friends chatting in your living room. Just way less creepy.”

His appearance in Maintenance Shop is a free event presented by the Student Union Board. Doors will open at 8:30 and the show will start at 9 p.m. on Oct. 24.
