The ISU tennis team wrapped up its second tournament of the fall season, the Gopher Invite, this weekend.

Junior Ksenia Pronina took second place in the “M” flight, after winning the top flight at last week’s Drake Fall Invitational.

Pronina suffered her first loss of the fall season in the championship match against Minnesota’s Tereza Brichacova in three sets.

Freshmen Samatha Budai and Lydia Green each took 3rd place in their first collegiate action, with Budai competing in the “U” flight and Green in the Gopher flight.

In doubles action, Pronina and Ana Gasparovic placed eighth in the top doubles flight. Also competing in the top doubles flight, Meghan Cassens and Budai finished in 13th place.

The duo of Caroline Andersen and Emma Waites placed fourth out of six teams in the Gopher flight.

The team will continue its fall season at the UNI Invitational next weekend.
