Cyclone Hockey win close game against North Iowa Bulls

Cyclone Hockey improved to 5-0 on the season after the Cyclones beat the North Iowa Bulls 4-2 on Friday.

The Cyclones struck first in the opening period with a goal by forward Trevor Lloyd. Forward Mark Huber also scored in the first, putting the puck in the net with only 12 seconds left on the period to put the Cyclones up 2-0.

In the second period the Bulls responded with a goal by forward Logan Murphy, which put them within one of the Cyclones.

Forward Chris Cucullu scored for the Cyclones in the third period. Forward Jon Feavel also scored for the Cyclones late in the third.

The Bulls soon answered with a goal with their own by forward Conor Jonasson 18:36 into the third period.

Cyclone goalie Matt Cooper blocked 28 of 38 shots on goal, and Bulls goalie Jared Schletty blocked 24 of 28 shots on goal in the game.    

The Cyclones will face the Bulls again at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
