After win against Texas A&M, ISU volleyball starts season 3-0

The ISU volleyball team began its season with three straight wins at the UND Classic after beating Texas A&M 3-1 on Saturday.

The No. 15 Cyclones (3-0) dropped the first set to the Aggies 25-21 but won the second set 25-22. Iowa State took the third set 25-23 and the fourth set 27-25 to keep its perfect record.

Two-time Big 12 Libero of the Year senior Kristen Hahn had a season-high 23 digs against Texas A&M. 

Senior middle blocker Tenisha Matlock led the team in kills with 20 while sophomore setter Jenelle Hudson had 59 assists during the match.

Iowa State’s next match will be at in-state rival Northern Iowa on Wednesday.
