Ames held its Independence Day fireworks show on Tuesday, July 3. Ames celebrated Independence Day with fireworks, a parade and a festival on Burnett Avenue the next day.

Parade route: The parade will begin at the corner of Clark Avenue and Main Street. It will proceed east on Main Street to Kellogg Avenue, north to Sixth Street, west to Burnett Avenue and south to Fifth Street. The parade will end on 5th Street at City Hall.
