After winning its first six sets of the day, the ISU volleyball team came across a more challenging match against Minnesota in Saturday’s finale.

The Golden Gophers, who finished with a 27-8 record last season, handed the Cyclones (3-2) their first set losses and eventual match loss of the day, taking the first set 27-25 and the second set 28-26.

Minnesota’s Tori Dixon led all players in the match in kills with 16. ISU redshirt freshman Morgan Kuhrt led the Cyclones with seven.

Setter Jenelle Hudson tallied 24 assists in the match to go along with two kills and three digs.

ISU libero Kristen Hahn led the team in digs once again with 10, while Andie Malloy recorded seven.

The Cyclones will move on to compete in a tournament in Minneapolis, Minn., next weekend, their last competition of the spring schedule.
