Shealy qualifies for beam finals on Sunday

Junior Michelle Shealy competed in the all-around competition in an NCAA nationals semifinal meet on Friday, April 19, 2013. She qualified for individual event finals on Sunday, April 21.

Shealy’s best routine came on the balance beam, scoring a 9.9 and tying for a career high. Shealy tied for second on the event, qualified for the balance beam finals and earned All-America honors on the event.

Shealy’s afternoon started on her weakest event, the vault. She scored 9.55 and then scored 9.775 on the uneven bars. 

To finish the meet, Shealy scored 9.825 on floor exercise. She scored 39.025 and  placed 13th in the all-around competition.
