Women’s golf finishes fifth at Central District Invitational

The No. 25 ISU women’s golf team took home fifth place at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla., on Tuesday. The Cyclones concluded the meet with a total three-round score of 897. 

Junior Sasikarn On-Iam fired a 223 in three rounds for 11th place, the lowest score for the Cyclones. Freshman Casja Persson finished with 224 strokes, second place for the Cyclones and 12th individually.

No. 31 Southern Methodist University finished first on the leaderboard with a team total of 888. No. 13 Vanderbilt followed in second with 890 strokes.

Caroline Powers from Michigan State shot a three-round 215 to finish in a first place tie with Augusta State’s Natalie Willie.
