Cyclones hold on for fifth at Lady Puerto Rico Classic

Day three of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic has come to a close. The No. 25 ISU women’s golf team was able to hold on to their fifth place spot with a final overall score of 896.

Prima Thammaraks led the Cyclones with an overall score of 222, placing 11th in the individual standings.

Despite a slow start, Chonlada Chayanun clenched runner-up with a round-three score of 70, the best round of the meet for the Cyclones. Chayanun finished with a complete score of 224.

No. 6 Alabama took home first place with a score of 871, followed by No. 12 Arkansas with an 884.

Emily Tubert from Arkansas took first individually with 213 strokes, and Texas Tech’s Kimberly Kaufman finished in second with a 214.

The Cyclones head to Florida for the Central District Invitational next Monday.
