ISU forward Trevor Lloyd put the Cyclones up 2-0 on a power-play goal in the third period. Derek Kohles and Alec Wilhelmi each had an assist in the game.

That is the second time the Cyclones (21-15-3) have beaten the Eagles (26-7-1) this season and they will play them one more time in two weeks in the ACHA tournament.

The Cyclones will play either Lindenwood or Illinois in the second round of the CSCHL tournament on Saturday. Lindenwood and Illinois received first-round byes for the tournament, so the Cyclones will play Lindenwood if Indiana beats Ohio or Illinois if Ohio wins.
