Cyclones blow past competition in Cyclone Challenge

During the course of two days, the ISU women’s basketball team was able to outscore its opponents 169-82 in the Cyclone Challenge.

On Saturday, the Cyclones topped Air Force in a 83-35 victory. Freshman Nicole Blaskowsky checked out of the game with a career-high 26 points.

In the second game against Alabama State, the Cyclones cruised to a 86-47 victory, led by junior Hallie Christofferson.

In the first half alone, Christofferson made four 3-pointers to put the her team up 51-16 at halftime.

Christofferson finished up with 21 points, while teammate Chelsea Poppens finished with 20 points of her own.

The Cyclones get a quick turn-around and get their conference opener at home against Texas.
