Iowa State debuted with a win in its first-ever soccer game at the Cyclone Sports Complex on Friday night.

In its first conference game against Iowa State (9-6, 1-3 Big 12), Texas Christian (5-7-1, 0-3) fell to the Cyclones 2-0 in a game dominated by the Iowa State offense.

Junior forward Jennifer Dominguez accounted for the night’s two goals. The first goal came early at 4:40 into the game, and the second was in the 28th minute.

Senior defender Megan Longobardi assisted both of the goals. Friday’s goals were Dominguez’s eighth and ninth of the season, and she is now tied for fourth in goals in a season at Iowa State.

The Cyclones will play the other new Big 12 member, West Virginia, on Sunday at the Cyclone Sports Complex. That game will begin at 1:00 p.m.
