President Barack Obama will speak on Tuesday, Aug. 28, about young voters’ role in the economy and how investing in higher education will help build a “skilled workforce.”

The gate to the event, which will be at the intersection of Osborn Drive and Morrill Road, will open at 10:30 a.m.

Students are being encouraged to wear cardinal and gold.

Patrick Fleming, a local musician from the band The Poison Control Center, will be the special entertainment for those in attendance while they wait for Obama to speak.

Everyone with a ticket needs to have the ticket filled out and in their possession when they arrive at the event. Other than their ticket, students may bring a small camera and are encouraged to not bring any other items such as liquids, umbrellas or bags.

Water will be provided to those attending the event once they are inside the gates.
