Fellow teammate Jessica Henderson also struggled as well at Zone. While Nelson’s last dive yielded a 54.60 Henderson’s combined score for her third, fourth and fifth dives were a total of 59.65 points.

But Henderson would follow her teammate’s lead and finish the day off with a strong final dive, earning her a score of 42.00. After six total dives, Henderson’s final score of the day was 170.45.

The final day of competition begins Saturday. The final event will be the platform dive and will wrap up the Zone Diving Championships.
