The ISU tennis team won its second straight meet Thursday with a 6-1 victory against Eastern Michigan.

The Cyclones (2-7) claimed all six singles victories, but failed to sweep the Eagles (4-7) after losing the doubles point. Eastern Michigan made Iowa State earn the victory, forcing four of the six singles matches to go to three sets.

ISU freshman Ksenia Pronina won her fourth straight match along with sophomore Simona Cacciuttolo. Junior Tessa Lang also recorded her first singles victory of the season for the Cyclones.

In doubles, the team of Meghan Cassens and Marie-Christine Chartier won the lone match for the Cyclones. It was Cassens’ first time playing singles this season.

Iowa State will try to get its first victory against a ranked team when it takes on No. 52 Hawaii on Saturday. The Rainbow Wahine (4-3, 0-1 WAC) also defeated Eastern Michigan on Thursday by a score of 7-0.
