Cyclone tennis team falls to Minnesota 7-0

The ISU tennis team lost a tough meet to Minnesota 7-0 on Friday night. The Gophers only lost one set during the meet and clinched the match after capturing the doubles point.

Senior Marie-Christine Chartier was the only Cyclone to win a set. She won the first set 6-1 but then lost the next two sets 6-2, 6-2.

The Gophers clinched the series after their No. 3 singles player Julia Courter defeated the Cyclones’ Simona Cacciuttolo 6-4, 6-0.

The Cyclones travel to Kalamazoo, Mich., next weekend to take on Western Michigan on Friday Feb. 3rd and Marquette on Saturday Feb. 4th.
