The ISU volleyball team swept Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan., behind another double-double from Cyclone outside hitter Carly Jenson.

The No. 16 Cyclones (13-3, 4-1 Big 12) won a hotly contested first set, 27-25, despite giving the Wildcats (13-5, 2-2) free points by committing six attack errors and three service errors in the set.

Kansas State also out-blocked the Cyclones 4-1 in the first set.

Jenson recorded five kills and an ace in the set while junior setter Alison Landwehr amassed 13 assists.

The Cyclones took the second set 25-21, aided by four Wildcat ball-handling errors. Kansas State has struggled in the ball-handling department all year, and is being out-dug by an average of 16.09-15.55 per set this season.

The third set was back and forth late into the match until the Cyclones pulled ahead on a Landwehr block and back-to-back kills by Jenson to take the set 25-23.

Jenson led the Cyclone offense with 12 kills and 10 digs while attacking at a .265 clip, followed by middle blocker Jamie Straube, with 10 kills of her own.

Landwehr racked up 31 assists and 13 digs on the night, to go with three kills.

The Cyclones will be on the court this Saturday in Ames to take on Oklahoma at Hilton Coliseum at 6:30 p.m.
