Iowa State opens conference play against Missouri.

After two straight road losses, Hilton Coliseum will be a welcome site for the Cyclones (9-2, 0-0 Big 12). They will hope to make it an unwelcoming experience for Missouri (13-3, 0-0 Big 12).

Iowa State opens conference play against the Tigers tonight at 7 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPNU.

Senior outside hitter Carly Jenson has been hot as of late for the Cyclones. In the loss to Nebraska, she collected her fifth double-double of the season. She is currently in the top 10 in the conference in kills, digs, and points.

Sophomore Libero Kristen Hahn leads the Big 12 in digs at 5.65 per set, which is also sixth in the nation. Alison Landwehr is also coming off of her fourth double-double of the season.

A win over Missouri would tie coach Christy-Johnson Lynch for No.1 all-time in victories.Vicki Mealer, who coached from 1985-1992, currently holds the record ad 135.

Digging is going to be a key theme in this matchup. The Cyclones are the top digging team in the Big 12 while Missouri is the best in the Big 12 at limiting opponent digs.

Coming off of a Sweet 16 season, Missouri returns four starters including Brittney Brimmage. Brimmage leads the team and the conference with a .422 hitting percentage. Iowa State, however, has been able to contain her in the past. She is hitting just .105 against the Cyclones.

Missouri leads the all-time series 37-32.
