The Iowa State football team put a sticker with the initials “CBA” on their helmets to honor the Celia Barquin Arozamena. A video tribute was shown honoring Barquin Arozamena. Members of the audience participated in a moment of silence to remember the Cyclone gold athlete at Jack Trice Stadium. The crowd was filled with yellow as that was Barquin Arozamena’s favorite color.

Iowa State’s had a need at wide receiver since January, when now-Cardinals wideout Hakeem Butler declared for the NFL Draft.

That makes the addition of Arkansas grad transfer wide receiver La’Michael Pettway even more important.

Pettway announced his commitment to the Cyclones Monday afternoon, picking Iowa State over the Auburn Tigers.

Pettway will have one year of eligibility and provide Iowa State a big target. At 6-foot-2, 220-pounds, Pettway is instantly one of the Cyclones’ largest wideouts. He led the Razorbacks in receiving in 2018, catching 30 passes for 499 yards under coach Chad Morris.
