Daily Fitness Challenge: Moriah Smith, week 4

Moriah Smith

So last week, food wise, was rough. Cravings and a super busy schedule dominated my healthy eating and I failed miserably. Luckily I took advantage of the awesome weather last week and went for a few runs outside, which countered the unhealthy eating.

I need to stop being so influenced by other people when it comes to unhealthy eating, I’m pretty sure I’ve said that before (out loud if I haven’t said it during this challenge).

Last weekend was a prime example. My boyfriend and I were in West Des Moines for his fraternity’s formal and we decided it’d be a good idea to go get some McDonalds french fries around midnight. Then, we met with my older sister and her family on Saturday for lunch before heading back up to Ames. Once dinner time rolled around on Saturday, my friends wanted Culver’s, so of course I joined in.

All in all on Sunday, I regretted eating that way. I physically felt awful and made the decision that I wanted to change my ways. Like I said before, I’m pretty sure I’ve said that before.

I just need to remember how awful I physically feel, lethargic, among other things, before I decide to go indulge in awful food. Once in a while can be forgiven, but numerous meals in a weekend just doesn’t work. I’ve just got to learn to say no to so much bad food. We’ll see how that goes…
