Fitness Challenge: Moriah Smith, week 3

Moriah Smith

So, this week I was really good about eating healthy and running (at the rec because it was super cold early in the week), until it came to the weekend.

I’ve realized through writing in this blog the last three weeks that I fall off the proverbial diet bandwagon every time Friday night rolls around. Nachos at 2 a.m.? You bet.

I need to learn to say no when it comes to getting tasty, and of course unhealthy, food on the weekends. But it all just tastes so good. Good tasting and unhealthy food won’t help me shed the pounds though.

On a brighter note, running has been going well. I feel like I’m making progress. The recent change in weather has helped with that. I would much rather run outside than at the Rec and I’ve been able to do just that the past few days. The weather today was perfect for it but I decided against it since my shins are pretty sore from the past two days.

The forecast is looking good, it looks like spring is practically here. That means no more excuses for me to avoid working out, I can now step out my back door and run instead of having to drive across campus to do so. I couldn’t be more excited.
