Raven Gileau, ISU student, identified as woman found on RR tracks

Raven Gileau, an ISU sophomore in accounting, was found dead at 5:30 a.m. Sunday on the railroad tracks near 13th Street and Ontario Avenue.

Friends had reported her missing at 3:19 a.m. Sunday, according to police reports.

Police believe she was struck by a train early in the morning, and officials from Union Pacific Railroad are reviewing their tapes and train schedules to determine if a train struck her, according to police reports.

Friends of Gileau said she had been separated from them in Campustown earlier in the morning, according to police reports.

Gileau is survived by her mother, father and brother in Woodbridge, Va.
