The regular season for the Iowa State women’s basketball team begins on Sunday in Hilton Coliseum. The No. 24 Cyclones face off with Florida Atlantic at 1 p.m.

Florida Atlantic, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, was picked to finish fourth in the Eastern Division, and the Owls finished last season with a 9-9 record in the league.

Cyclone head coach Bill Fennelly enters the game with an overall record of 307-141 at Iowa State, while FAU coach Chancellor Dugan has compiled a record of 123-168 in her 10 seasons with the Owls.

For Iowa State this game means a chance to begin an undefeated season at home, something the Cyclones kept up until mid-February of last year when Iowa State suffered its only home loss of the season to then-No. 13 Texas in a 55-52 loss.
