Super group led by lead singer of The Format comes to the M-Shop

The group featuring The Format’s lead singer and songwriter Nate Ruess, fun., will perform at the Maintenance Shop on Nov. 1.

Coming off of touring the East Coast in support of Taking Back Sunday, the group is doing a small stint of shows on their trip west.

The Format broke up in 2008. fun. released their debut album in August 2009.

The group is also composed of Andrew Dost, of Anathallo, and Jack Antonoff, lead singer of Steel Train.

The indie pop band puts a heavy emphasis on pop, drawing from soul and classic ‘60s riffs, with a modern pop rock vibe and harmonies galore. fun. thrives on the sound that made The Format popular.

Local group, Volcano Boys, will be the opening act.

Cost: $8 for ISU students, $10 for the public ($2 increase the day of the show)
