HOCKEY: Balanced attack leads Iowa State past Indiana

The Iowa State Hockey Team improved to 6-0 Saturday night with a 6-1 victory over Indiana.

The Cyclones scored four goals in the first period including one on a penalty shot. They also picked up where they left off Friday night and scored another shorthanded goal making the weekend total four.

Iowa State added two more goals in the second period before Indiana put a score up on the board with six minutes left to play in the second period.

Six different players found the back of the net for the Cyclones and David Kurbatsky scored in his sixth straight game bringing his total to 12 goals.

Paul Karus played three periods at goalie and saved 20 out of 21 shots.
