SOCCER: Iowa State falls to Tigers 3-1

The door to the Big 12 tournament for Iowa State (7-7-4) closed a little bit more on Friday night as they fell 3-1 to Missouri In Columbia, Mo.

All four goals came in the second half. Tiger Kristin Andrighetto’s goal put the Tigers up 1-0 with a goal in the 49th minute.

Cyclone Amanda Nimtz evened the score at 1-1 in the 69th minute, but two goals, both in the 73rd minute buried the Cyclones and handed Missouri the 3-1 victory.

The Cyclones face the Jayhawks on Sunday in Lawrence, Kan. Iowa State will need to come out on top in its next two games if the Cyclones plan on entering into conference tournament play.
