The Hawkeyes close out the 2009 Cy-Hawk series on a seven game winning streak with a 7-1 victory over the ISU softball team on Tuesday in Iowa City.

The loss brings the Cyclones losing streak to four games and drops them to 19-21 overall.

Iowa (30-9) broke the game open in the fifth inning, scoring five runs, highlighted by a two run home run by Hawkeye catcher Liz Watkins.

Sophomore Rachel Zabriskie started at pitcher again for the Cyclones, making her eighth consecutive start. She has made every start since Charissa Carlin became the third Cyclone pitcher injured this season. Zabriskie went five innings, allowing 10 hits and four earned runs in Iowa City.

Lauren Kennewell threw well in relief again, making her second ever appearance for the Cyclones and throwing a hitless, scoreless sixth inning.
