ISU wide receiver Darius Darks posted a video on his Facebook profile apolgizing for his statements in his two earlier videos in which he voiced his displeasure at being “lied” to by former coach Gene Chizik. See the story

“I didn’t mean to disrespect anybody at Iowa State, I didn’t mean to disrespect any fans at Iowa State, they are the best fans, and I mean that literally,” Darks said in the newest video. “I guess I do want to take the time to say I’m sorry and I didn’t mean nothing by it as far as fans and coaches taking it personally, and even my teammates. It’s just that I don’t like being lied to, nobody likes being lied to.”

Chizik took the head coaching job at Auburn, just two seasons and five wins into his career at Iowa State.

The two original videos featured Darks, and freshman running back Jeremiah Schwartz, but both have since been removed from his profile.

In one of the videos Darks put to rest what he would do now that Chizik left for Auburn by putting on a Michigan State jersey as his answer. He attempted to clear up his earlier comments with the third video.

“So I just want to take the time to say I’m sorry and disregard anything I said about leaving,” Darks said. “I dont know if I’m leaving or if I’m staying. I just want to apologize to Michigan State because I got a couple people riled up over there too.”

Darks showed great potential in his freshman season, recording 49 receptions for 477 yards at wide receiver in 2008.
