The No. 9 ISU wrestling team made quick work of No. 18 Oklahoma, winning nine of 10 matches in a 31-3 victory to open its Big 12 season.

Four Cyclones (12-3, 1-0 Big 12) beat ranked opponents in the most lopsided ISU dual win over the Sooners (11-3, 0-2) ever in Norman, Okla.

Sophomore Nick Gallick (141), ranked 20th, topped 14th-ranked sophomore Zack Bailey, 10-3, to improve his record to 17-10 on the season.

At 149 pounds, unranked sophomore Mitch Mueller (17-8) beat ninth-ranked junior Will Rowe, 5-2. No. 6 Cyler Sanderson (22-3) scored an 8-3 decision over 20th-ranked Will Rowe.

In a battle of unbeaten opponents, No. 1 Jake Varner (18-0) beat seventh-ranked senior Josh Weitzel (18-1), 5-1.

Iowa State wrestled No. 3 Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla. on Sunday night. Results were unavailable before press time.

The Cyclones wrestle next on Friday, Feb. 8 against Oregon State in Hilton Coliseum.
