Vanessa Espinoza and Jeanne Connelly both graduate students in the school of education discussed Iowa’s story and the importance of including different perspectives. The session “Latinx in Iowa: Not the New Iowans” discussed being Latinx in Iowa and the negative stereotypes that go with the community. This session was part of the 2019 ISCORE Conference on March 1.
