LETTER: Re-elect Mosiman for county auditor
October 6, 2004
Four years ago, the voters of Story County placed their trust and faith in Mary Mosiman to serve as county auditor. What a great choice they made. I have worked at the county for more than 17 years.
Mary has brought a level of professionalism to the Auditor’s office that has raised the bar for us all at the county. Within her first year, she was recognized by the Iowa State Association of Counties for her innovations in voter education.
At every opportunity, Mary has pushed and challenged us all to be better public servants. And she has done so with courtesy and respect for everyone. Thanks to Mary, Story County now has a travel policy that helps us all be more accountable. The process by which we choose every office from Township Trustee to President of the United States is in the hands of the County Commissioner of Elections. And in Story County, we can be proud to have someone like Mary Mosiman. She spends many long days making sure the process is of the highest standards and the results are an accurate reflection of the will of Story County voters.
On Nov. 2 all 99 counties in Iowa will be electing county auditors, but only in Story County do we have the chance to re-elect a certified public accountant for the job.
And if you want to keep it that way, she is your only choice on the Story County ballot.
I hope the people of Story County help keep her on the job. Please join me in voting for Mosiman for county auditor.
