LETTER: Vote registrars are almost stalkers
October 5, 2004
It is quite difficult to venture on campus without being asked to register to vote. This registration push is positive, but it also borders on absurd.
The message that needs to be delivered is one that educates people on where the candidates stand on the issues. If you plan to vote this November, please take some time to consider why you are voting for whomever your candidate is.
Think about why you are voting for the candidate that promises the government’s tab will pick up every cost incurred upon us as individuals.
If you think long and hard on this last point, you may realize the government’s tab is your tab. The more the government covers, the more comes out of our pocket. Just something to think about.
Please educate yourself before you vote this November — and by the way, “Have you registered to vote yet?”
