LETTER: Kerry leads while Bush fumbles
October 4, 2004
The Thursday night debate said it all. John Kerry is the right person to lead our country as president of the United States. Kerry showed strength and determination throughout the 90-minute debate, while President Bush fumbled and often responded with repetitious shallow promises.
Bush remained oblivious to the faults caused by the Iraq war and his lack of a plan to end the chaos there. In contrast, Kerry strongly specified his views and plans of making our country safer and presented a new hope of improving the restoration in Iraq to see the job finished.
Kerry stated his firm beliefs that the United States cannot work alone when it comes to issues on terror and making decisions to go to war. John Kerry knows that our country is capable of a much better foreign policy and that America really needs to improve relationships with other countries.
Thursday night’s debate covered some of the most crucial issues of this year’s election, and Kerry proved that he is the candidate that should take the reins in leading our country.
