LETTER: Terry Stark will be a superior sheriff
October 24, 2004
It is no wonder to me that support for Terry Stark as Story County sheriff is growing.
I see more and more yard signs, and I see Stark everywhere, often surrounded by supporters. I recently attended a fund-raiser for Stark where former Gov. Terry Branstad endorsed Stark before a packed crowd. This all comes as little surprise to me, since I have known Stark for more than 12 years.
Stark is a dedicated family man, father and leader actively involved in our community. He has more than 29 years of law enforcement experience. And he comes from a family that has served Story County honorably for decades. Stark’s roots run deep here. He is an ISU grad and lifetime member of the Alumni Association. He has given freely of his time and money to our public libraries, schools, WOI-TV and public projects like SCORE.
Terry’s qualifications for sheriff are unmatched. His integrity is of the highest. He will serve our county well. Please join me in voting for Stark for Story County sheriff.
