LETTER: Christianity is no longer medieval
September 27, 2004
In his Sept. 27 letter “Many Christians live in the Dark Ages,” Michael made no attempt to understand Christian theology before he typed into the Daily Web site. Read the New Testament and you’ll understand that God through the Holy Spirit told the apostles that some of the ancient rules of dress and kosher food no longer were necessary. Especially animal sacrifices, as Jesus sacrificed himself for all the sins of the world — yours and mine.
Now I know that someone is going to post something after this about how homosexuality is innate and a part of a person that you can not simply “disapprove” of without disapproving of the individual, but I disagree.
I’ve yet to see any paper or scientific journal that describes homosexuality as who a person is (genetically) as opposed to what a person does.
