Science education covers the physical, natural world. Liberal arts education deals with the world of human society. We live in both of these worlds. It’s been my experience as a student of science and of liberal arts that the critical thinking skills applicable to those worlds are different. And to call ourselves educated means we should be able to think critically about each.
