LETTER: A thank you to the ISU community
August 22, 2004
Four years ago, I came to the United States of America to live a dream that I have always been told would come true and it did.
I was accepted to go to Iowa State.
It has been a fabulous experience for me here since then.
And as I complete my education and graduate with my master’s, I realize that I would not have completed my education if I did not do a very small thing — a thank you note to all of you, to this wonderful community for having given me an opportunity to go to school here.
We as students get so caught up in doing what we need to do to survive college that we tend to forget little things such as this.
Many people in various offices have impacted my life here at Iowa State, right from the Office of Admissions to the CyRide bus drivers who shuttled me around campus, from my own colleges and the different students that I worked with.
Each of you has contributed in a small way that you probably do not even realize.
As the curtains of my student life draw to a close today, I write this to say to all of you, here is my honest and sincere thank you for making that dream come true for me.
